Dhan Dhan Baba Jawahar Ji
Late Master Shavinder Singh Billen
In my family there is me, my brother and my three sisters. Their names are Late-Kamaljit Dosanjh, Sukhjit Dial, Kuljit Dhesi, and my brother Baljit Billen. My brother in laws are Surjit Dosanjh, Sukhjinder Dial, Shingara Dhesi Pehalwan. Baljit Billen and I hold a tournament every year to remember our dad. This tournament takes place in my own village known as Rai Pur Dabba. Wrestlers from India, England, Canada, America, and Pakistan participate in this tournament. Wrestlers from all ages are allowed to wrestle. Many people come to watch. We have a big party for the guests and wrestlers after the tournament. Trophies are given out to the wrestlers and we also give out money prizes. We start off by going to Dhan Dhan Baba Jawahar Ji temple, where we pray. Then we move on and walk towards the field where the tournament takes place. When we get to the field we do Ardas,(prayer). Then we get the ribbon cut from the Chief Guest. After that we pray around the mat to give it respect. Then we call the big wrestlers one by one to the mat so that the audience knows who is wrestling. Then finally we start the matches.
